A bold, inventive, and compassionate team
With production partners across the globe et aussi chez nous au Québec!
Poutine Studios is a collective of bold, creative storytellers united by a shared mandate: to produce high-quality, thought-provoking entertainment that champions diverse and underrepresented perspectives, both on screen and behind the scenes.
With over two decades of experience across the Canadian and international industry, the company takes an extremely hands-on approach, guiding each project from inception through development, financing, production, and final delivery. Its slate spans original scripted and unscripted content, developed both in-house and in close collaboration with emerging and established creators. Through these partnerships, Poutine Studios actively supports creative vision while helping unlock access to financing and strategic expertise, sometimes through executive producing roles.
At the core of its work is a deep commitment to equity, inclusion and social impact, ensuring a broader range of voices and lived experiences are reflected at every stage of the storytelling process. In 2025, the company expanded its global reach through a strategic partnership with DUO Productions to co-develop original and adapted IP in both English and French, building a dynamic slate of series designed to resonate across markets and cultures.

Martin Cabral
Creative & Technical Director
With a background in IT, computer programming and technical support, Marty’s easygoing adaptability is his biggest asset. He’s renowned for being a jack-of-all trades in the film and television industry, performing a variety of roles wherever he’s needed – both on and off set. As a unionized technician, he performs multiple roles in the camera department including expert-level drone piloting, and often also works with the locations and/or unit departments in order to ensure a smoother-running show. But if asked to choose only one function to perform for the rest of his life, he’d easily pick using his creative side, helping to create worlds, characters and plot lines for the many projects on Poutine Studios’ slate.
